What to Write About . . .
I was reading on another blog that blog authors should refrain from writing about themselves. So I’ve been kinda confused about what to write in my own blog considering most of the things I like to write about are things I like or activities I enjoy. I’ve always blogged that way, and now I’m being told that it’s poor form. I think I’m going to ignore the advice that was dispensed on the aforementioned blogger’s site, and I’m going to continue writing about things pertaining to me and this comic strip! And also to me!
Cornelius . . .
I drew Cornelius the Dove for Stuff Christians Like!
Character Sketches . . .
When creating characters I rarely draw detailed character sketches. I usually just rough out an idea of the characters face and then jump into drawing the comic head first. I thought I’d share a few drawings I made of God and Max’s mom (her name is Barb!).

The author of that blog is over simplifying. It really should be, don’t write about yourself if you have nothing to say that will be interesting to other people. Make sure you can tell what is interesting to other people.
Perhaps they believed that this happens so rarely that a blanket policy was appropriate. Perhaps they failed to write about themselves in an interesting way in the past and did not realize it, taking away the wrong lesson that they should not write about personal things.
The advice is provably wrong in any case. What about postings to the web by celebrities? What about postings by people writing mainly for their family and friends?
My thoughts exactly, Tudza. :)
